For over a year now, this monthly free series has welcomed musicians from around the world. The New England Conservatory makes Saugus a regular stop as it showcases some of the world's top musicians.
The Third Tuesday Free Music Series will present Hye-Jin Kim on, Tuesday, April 21 at noon. The performance will also include a program by Andrew Celentano. Admission is always free and you don't have to be a Senior or Saugus resident to enjoy this event. The Saugus Senior Center is located at 466 Central St., Saugus.
Hye-Jin Kim is a verstile musician and has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra. the New Jersy Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra in London and Hanover Chamber Orchestra leading the ensemble in the A Major Mozart Concerto at the age of 12. As a recitalist, she has performed at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater (Washington DC), Mirabel Schloss (Salzburg), and on concert series in Sydney, New Zealand, and Korea.
Ms. Kim's long-time relationship with the Kumho Cultural Foundation of Korea has helped her promote her native country throughout the world. She has given recitals in Australia, Salzburg, and China, the UN Headquarters in New York and Geneva for ambassadors and diplomats of different nations representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea.
