The Boston Children’s Chorus (Anthony Trecek-King, Artistic Director) will join the orchestra in a program of African-American and Native American songs, and music by Handel, Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.
This event is the only one of its kind in Greater Boston. It is designed for the entire family to share the joys of music in one of America’s most beloved historic landmarks, Faneuil Hall in Boston’s most popular family destination, Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
One of the highlights of this program is the ‘instrument petting zoo’ after the concert. Children will have a hands-on familiarity with the instruments they just heard and will meet the professional musicians who play those instruments. The petting zoo has been an extremely popular activity for students and their families at these events.
Admission is free and unreserved on a first-come, first-seated basis. Tickets are required, and may be obtained by calling the Boston Classical Orchestra at 617-423-3883 or visiting www.BostonClassicalOrchestra.org
This annual family attraction is sponsored generously by the family of the late Anne W. Hiatt.
