The Obon Festival in Japan is a time when family members from all regions pay respect to their ancestors, and participate in the community Obon Dance. Participants of this workshop will be invited to learn the joyful Tokyo Ondo dance, which is made up of easy-to-learn steps performed in a circle around a taiko drummer.

Participants will also decorate their own summer uchiwa fan and try their hand at creating different Japanese characters. Come join the celebration!
