Silver tours throughout the world, and has been engaging audiences for nearly 20 years. Her roots are deep in New England. Silver was raised in Newton, MA and graduated from Clark University in Worcester. One of her first jobs was as an on-air personality at WMJX, Magic 106.7 in Boston.
Her Jewish songs have become so tightly woven into the fabric of American Judaism that they have become “standards” in worship, camp, and academic settings.
Without backing from a major label, Silver has sold more than 70,000 copies of her CDs, including her brand new release, Reunion.
“We are delighted that Julie Silver will be performing at our synagogue,” said Rabbi Shoshana Perry of Congregation Shalom. “I just saw her perform in front of a crowd of 3,000 and she had everyone mesmerized. Can you imagine a more fun way to begin the Chanukah season?”

Shalom is about 1/2 mile on your left, immediately before an underpass for Route 3. There is a parking lot behind the temple.
