Kudos To The Duke Chorale And First Baptist Church Five stars to the Duke Chorale and First Baptist Church in Newton! Concert proceeds will go Partners in Health, an outstanding Boston-based non-sectarian organization that has provided free medical care in Haiti for over 20 years. (See www.standforhaiti.org.) Dr. Paul Farmer, a Partners in Health co-founder, is the focus of Tracy Kidder's best-selling 2003 book, 'Mountains Beyond Mountains.' The church hopes to fill its 600-seat sanctuary to raise as much money as possible to support the Partners in Health response to the Haiti earthquake. Canned and dry good will also be received for the Newton Food Pantry. This will indeed be 'An Evening of Joy and Generosity!'
