Concerts for the whole family will highlight March 7th, the second day of the first annual Boston Jewish Music Festival. Three major concerts at three different locations across the Greater Boston area offer delights, fun and spirit for children and families.

Top Performers Shira Kline and ShirLaLa, Peter & Ellen Allard, and Yehuda Katz Featured.

At 1:00 PM at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC in Newton (333 Nahanton Street, Newton), SHIRA KLINE and ShirLaLa, bring their signature energy and charisma to a program that is both fun and educational. Kline has delighted audiences throughout the US and Europe with her dynamic, interactive program of joy and spirit, story and song not to mention all out rock-star dancing and grooving!

At 2 PM, nationally known children’s music stars PETER AND ELLEN ALLARD bring their award-winning music and infectious spirit to MetroWest Boston in a concert at the MetroWest Jewish Day School, 29 Upper Joclyn Avenue in Framingham. The Worcester natives have made numerous TV, radio appearances, amassed eight national awards and have seven recordings that sell internationally, in addition to being respected educators. Their family concerts are sell-outs wherever they appear.

At 3 PM, Festival Artist-In-Residence, Israeli musician YEHUDA KATZ presents A Concert for K’lal Yisrael in Sharon at Berger Hall, Temple Israel (125 Pond Street, Sharon). Katz is the founder and leader of the popular Israeli Jewish rock and soul band Reva L’sheva and AMI (Artists and Musicians for Israel). Katz has performed with many of Israel’s greatest musicians, and for 23 years played with Reb Shlomo Carlebach. His concerts paint a picture of joy, optimism and unity. As artist in residence, Katz will also present workshops at Gann Academy, Maimonides School, Cohen Hillel Academy and NewBridge on the Charles.

Tickets for the above three events are $15/adult, $9/child, $36 (max)/family, and are available on the web at: http://www.ticketweb.com/snl/EventListings.action?orgId=53953.
