As the week of public schools' April vacation looms just around the corner, handfuls of parents across the south shore are growing flustered and anxious as they prepare for nine full days of uninterrupted kid-time.

Local businesses such as The Orpheum Theatre Foxboro are rising to the occasion however and providing local families with a number of fun, interactive and educational programs throughout the school week to keep kids entertained and parents stress-free.

One of the most exciting events taking place at the Orpheum next week will be the lively performance by the Toe Jam Puppet Band, a musical group gaining quite a bit of notoriety in the Massachusetts area. The group which is reminiscent of the hit kid's group The Wiggles, formed in early 2000 and has been entertaining large family audiences ever since.

The Toe Jam Puppet Band offers a unique brand of hands-on children's entertainment that grown-ups can actually enjoy. The vibrant and lively band is great with kids, but best when teachers or parents are having fun along side the children as well! The performances are very active, encouraging kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs, masterful shadow puppetry, storytelling and just plain old good fun.

The band has performed to large audiences and rave reviews gaining praise from local libraries, school systems and private gatherings alike. The Providence Journal raved, 'There are no barriers between the band and their audiences. The kid's involvement steers each show, so every performance is different.'
