Susan Reed is a classical violinist, folk musician, singer and storyteller who uses original songs and stories to work magic with families, on local and national stages. Common to all of her performances is a trademark sense of humor and optimism, and her conviction that music has the power to broaden people’s understanding of the world around them.

Susan’s new CD of songs and stories for families and children, Gather was awarded a 2008 Parents’ Choice Approved Award as well as a 2008 National Parenting Publications Honors Award (NAPPA). Her previous CDs, Earth Songs, Shoes and Skipping Round The Moon were all honored with NAPPA awards. In collaboration with Barefoot Books, Susan’s newest song and storybook, Up, Up, Up!, takes you on an airborne adventure over lands near and far, all the way to the stars.
