New Philharmonia Family Pops Concert

The afternoon begins with the annual New Phil Fun Fair: a carnival of musical activites, including face-painting and instrument-making. Then enjoy a children's concert in a traditional pops setting, with seating at tables with your friends.
The concert features Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition,' a work of music about a trip to a museum, and all the different paintings the composer viewed there. The narrator of our concert interacts with the children, inviting them to answer questions about the music, get involved, and sometimes even get up and march around the room to the music of the orchestra with their newly-made instruments.
The concert will also include a mini-auction, including a chance to conduct the New Phil, with all proceeds to benefit the New Philharmonia's Outreach and Education Fund.
