The Hingham Shipyard, the area’s newest waterfront, transit-orient mixed-use development, with retail, residences, offices and open space, will celebrate its Grand Opening with a weekend of music, fun, food and festivities. The fun continues all summer with weekly kids’ events and Friday night events for grown-ups presented by singles website Meetcha.com.

NoTA, an a capella group from Puerto Rico, first-season winners of NBC’s hit show “The Sing Off”, will come to Hingham to perform for their fans for free on stage by the water. NoTA launches a full summer of the “Shipyard Sings” series, with an online a capella competition, and semi-finalists performing for the public and a live vote at the Shipyard. The “Shipyard Sings” series wraps up in September with the Beelzebubs from Tufts University, runners-up in “The Sing Off” series, plus the winners of the online competition.
