Outdoor family picnic and concert on the west lawn of the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Thursday, July 22 with a performance by local children’s entertainer Vanessa Trien and Friends. Bring a blanket and picnic from 5:30-6:30pm and then enjoy the concert which starts at 6:30pm.

Event is geared for families with children ages 2-8. Cost is $15 per family. Open to the entire community. According to BostonChildren’sMusic.com, “It’s hard to explain what exactly makes Vanessa’s songs so perfect—she seems to find that often-sought-after balance of silliness and heart that appeals to both parents and children.”
