NEC students, selected in an annual 'Guest Artist Awards' audition, join the Borromeo String Quartet, an NEC ensemble-in-residence. For the purpose of these collaborations, violinists Nicholas Kitchen and Kristopher Tong, violist Mai Motobuchi, and cellist Yeesun Kim step in and out of the ensemble as needed.
This concert will include Gunther Schuller's String Quartets Nos. 1 & 2, works from Schuller's string quartet cycle.
