This event features WCMS faculty members from its Underground Program performing classic and new rock songs to interpret the beloved children’s storybook “Where the Wild Things Are.” General admission tickets are $5 each and an adult should accompany children.
Tickets are available online at nextdoortheater.org or in person at Winchester Community Music School located at 407 Highland Avenue in Winchester. The event is generously
sponsored in part by the EnKa Society, RE/MAX Leading Edge and supported in part by a grant from the Winchester Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
This concert is a “kid friendly” event focused on introducing young listeners to the breadth of rock music in fun, family setting. The imaginative children’s story of the “Where the Wild Things Are” will be dramatically narrated to accompany the music by the staff of Kidstock! Copies of the storybook as well as other children’s music themed books and gifts will be available for sale at the event, courtesy of BookEnds.
Seating at the Next Door Center for the Arts is limited to just 130 seats. Advance ticket purchases are strongly encouraged. Tickets may be purchased online at nextdoortheater.org or in person at Winchester Community Music School. Infants that can sit in an adult’s lap do not require a ticket to attend the event.
