As part of the free MIT Thursday Noon Concert Series, soprano Alecia Batson performs with organist Leonardo Ciampa as Duo Cantabrigia in Contemporaries | Contemporary, a presentation of the changeless themes of daily life as captured in the texts--secular and sacred--of English metaphysical poet John Donne, who died on 31 March 1631, and set by composers from the 16th Century through present-day.

Includes world premieres by Dan Shore and Leonardo Ciampa.

The concert begins at 12:05pm in the MIT Chapel, which is located near to the corner of Amherst Street and Massachusetts Avenue on the MIT Campus.

Soprano Alecia Batson and organist Leonardo Ciampa formed Duo Cantabrigia in 2009 to share the delight of intimate music old and new, obscure to renowned.
