Take a trip on the Groovematic 5000—the only spaceship in the universe powered by music—with Made in the Shade as they celebrate the release of their first children’s CD, “Stellar Jazz Safari,” with a CD release concert May 7 at 10:30 AM at the Regents Theatre, 7 Medford Street, Arlington. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Arlington Public Schools.“Stellar Jazz Safari” combines entertainment and education as ShaderGator and Made in the Shade travel to Swing City, Bebop and Beyond, and Fusionland, exploring different forms of jazz on the way. Kids learn about scatting, call-and-response, and conducting in this all-ages show.
Made in the Shade is a one-of-a-kind acoustic group that has entertained audiences worldwide with the exuberant spirit of New Orleans street music. Their unique blend of New Orleans jazz, swing, and original music delights listeners of all ages.

- The Regent Theatre has FREE parking right across the street from the theatre on weeknights after 6pm, Saturday after 3pm, and all day Sunday! All spots are free (including “permit only” spots) after listed times.

- A well stocked refreshment counter with fresh popcorn, candy, and beverages are available for your enjoyment (cash only, sorry!). The Regent Theatre does not allow outside food or beverages in the building.
