The Oriana Consort, a 30-voice chorale, Walter Chapin, director, presents “An Austria/Brooklyn Connection: Choral music from Austria and the USA, with a musical link between Gustav Mahler and Aaron Copland”.

The program includes Copland’s In the Beginning, with soloist Jennifer Webb; the concluding chorus from Mahler’s Symphony #2, in a chamber version accompanied by organist Caroline Harvey, with soloists Melanie Armstrong and Maurene Comey; Mozart’s Missa Brevis, KV 194, with soloists Elizabeth Huttner, Laura Betinis, Jake Aaron, and Patrick Nay, and a period instrumental ensemble; Brahms’ Fünf Gesänge, Opus 104; Wolf’s Sechs geistliche Lieder, and choral songs from the Renaissance by Isaac, Senfl, and Grefinger.
