This three-session workshop is designed for people age 8 and up who want to sing, have fun, and learn in a friendly, supportive, and educational environment.
Led by Ellen Oak, the artistic director of Three River Chorus, the workshop provides training in healthy vocal technique, reading music, and singing in parts.
Oak weaves individual attention into the group setting, guiding singers of varied abilities with respect, enthusiasm, and versatility. A second three-session workshop will be held next spring. Singers who attend both workshops will have the opportunity to perform with Three Rivers Chorus in their April 2012 concert.
The workshop will be held on Saturdays, 9:30-11:30a.m., September 17 and 24, and October 1, in Maynard. Individuals and families are welcome. Children under 12 must have a parent/caretaker participate with them. Singers must attend all three sessions. Advance registration is required. $90 tuition includes all three sessions (second family member $60; additional family members $30).
