Children and parents will get up close and personal with the instruments they hear on the radio and see played on stage. Faculty from the School of Groove will perform and demonstrate several different instruments.
Then students will get a chance to touch, blow, pluck, bow, and strike as much as they want. After the event, participants will receive free trial lessons on their instrument of choice.
Professional musicians and teachers agree that this preliminary exposure and contact with actual instruments helps increase the likelihood that the student will choose the instrument that will best enable them to have a long-term positive musical experience.
