The Boston Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with the Dorchester Park Association to present a ParkARTS Citywide Concert at Dorchester Park on Thursday, July 28, at 7 p.m. featuring the 80s cover band Fast Times.

Now in its 15th year, ParkARTS, sponsored by Bank of America, creates programming that makes the arts accessible to all people in the parks and brings culture directly into Boston’s neighborhoods.

If you are nostalgic for the big hair and spandex styles of the 80s and sing along every time your favorite Journey song comes on the radio, then you will love the music of Fast Times. Formed in 2005, this group provides an evening of all the “One Hit Wonders” you can handle from that iconic decade.

From pop to new wave and heavy metal, Fast Times covers a wide array of 80s music that will have everyone dancing like Rick Astley before the end of the night.

The ParkARTS Citywide Neighborhood Concerts continue on Sunday, August
7 at 5 p.m. at Highland Park, Roxbury with Jazz at the Fort featuring Tuffus Zimbabwe
and opening act The Jazz Urbane sponsored by Berklee College of Music with support
from the Friends of Highland Park (rain date August 14); and on Thursday, August 11 at
7 p.m. with Motown Night at Harambee Park in Mattapan/Roxbury featuring Funky D’s
Elegance.
