Ms. Tocco is especially known for her poetic and intellectual interpretation of the Romantic Era.
Since The New York Times lauded her debut at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York as an accompanist in 1986, Ms. Sarah Tocco has made numerous solo appearances around the world including the Manaus Opera House in Brazil, the Hai-Fung Opera House in Vietnam and, most recently, the International House of Music in Moscow.
She has also performed in Jamaica, Italy and Cuba. In addition to her many appearances in New England, she has appeared throughout the United States in such major cities as Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans.
Currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at Boston University, Ms. Tocco holds both MM and BM degrees from the Manhattan School of Music in New York. During her time at the Manhattan School of Music Ms. Tocco accepted a two-year invitation at full scholarship to Manchester Music Festival in Vermont from world-renowned pianist and the festival founder, Eugene List.
