Ensemble and Group Placement Auditions underway at Concord Conservatory of Music.
You do not need to be a CCM student to join an ensemble, or the Contemporary A Capella groups. Everyone is welcome to participate!
Playing in a group, jamming with your friends, singing the tunes you like is what making music is all about. CCM is holding open placement auditions for string ensembles, jazz combos, woodwind ensembles and the Contemporary A Capella groups.
Students will be placed with like minded musicians of age and ability. Students will develop instrumental skills, such as: ensemble cueing, group intonation, rhythmic interaction, leadership and listening skills. Also, improves a student’s ability to perform in solo recitals or large ensemble settings such as school bands, orchestras and chorus. Students meet on a weekly basis.
For all lovers of jazz, Jazz Combos consist of a rhythm section, including bass and percussion, and at least one of the following instruments: guitar, piano, brass, woodwind, and strings. Middle school and high school students are invited to join the CCM Contemporary A Capella singers.
CCM’s exemplary faculty is experienced in leading all age groups and instrument combinations.
Audition Placement Schedule:
-Contemporay A Capella: (Ongoing) Tuesday afternoons 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Ages: Middle and High School
-String Ensembles: (Ongoing) Mondays 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Students of all ages, including adults are encouraged to attend. Groups are arranged based on age, instrument mix, and ability.
-Jazz Combos: (Ongoing) Thursdays 5:30 – 7:00 pm
