Boston’s best jazz musicians perform original works in West Concord
Free Concert Series Continues Nov. 5 with
Jazz Quintet Featuring Concord Conservatory Faculty
The Concord Conservatory of Music is pleased to announce the next performance in its free Faculty Concert Series. On Monday, November 5 at 7 p.m. the school’s performance space at 1317 Main St in the West Concord Union Church will vibrate with the sounds of original works from some of the Conservatory’s accomplished jazz instructors.
Featured in the concert will be CCM Faculty members Ehud Ettun, bass, and Jorge Perez-Albela, drums. Also joining them will be Kevin Harris, piano, Roni Eytan, harmonica, and Lihi Haruvi, saxophone.
Lead and formed by Ettun, bassist and composer, this talented group will play many original works composed by the band members as well as standards from the jazz repertoire. “This is a special concert,” says Ettun. “As a bassist, I get to meet a lot of different musicians every day, but this quintet is my opportunity to put together organic sounds and rhythms with some of the most talented artists I know.”
Providing this free concert series is part of CCM’s broader mission to deliver high quality music education to the community.
“We are thrilled to be able to share the talents of our high-caliber faculty with the residents of Concord and surrounding communities,” says Kate Yoder, director of Concord Conservatory of Music.
The concert series is made possible in part by the generous funding from Newbury Court in Concord. For more information about the CCM Free Concert Series please call CCM at 978-369-0010.
