New York City-based violinist Akiko Kobayashi, noted as a “top-notch” violinist by the Boston Musical Intelligencer and for her “precise and honest playing, with no artificial effects,” by the IBLA Grand Prize Competition, performs works including: Bach’s last and most celebratory of his sonatas for violin and keyboard s, the Violin Keyboard Sonata in G major, BWV 1019; Mozart’s youthful Violin Sonata in C major, K296; Schumann’s dreamy Fantasy Pieces; and Bartok’s energetic Romanian Dances.
