Students will learn the basics of recording, receive education in song writing, music theory, arranging, and use their own instrumental skill to record great songs; they’ll even be singing!
GarageBand is an invaluable tool for students who are interested in more than just learning the notes.
No previous recording experience necessary.

Session I: July 8-11 (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs, one-week)
Session II: July 22-25 (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs, one-week)

Ensembles
Summer Recording Project
Formerly known as Jazz in July
(Ages 8 years to adult)
Experience the fun of ensemble playing and the excitement of recording.
Over the course of twelve hours, students will rehearse and record a four-song CD, drawing on a variety of musical styles.
Novice, intermediate and advanced ensembles are available.
Placement is determined by prior evaluations.

Session I: July 9-18 (Tues/Wed/Thurs, two-weeks)
Session II: July 23-August 1 (Tues/Wed/Thurs, two-weeks)
Time: 3:00pm; 5:00pm; or 7:00pm/120-minutes
