The 34 singers of the Oriana Consort present “A Choral Odyssey: Music of Germany and America”.
The choir and soloists will perform J. S. Bach’s motet “Fürchte dich nicht”, Felix Mendelssohn’s “Te Deum”, the “Gloria” from Paul Hindemith’s “Messe”, the chorus “So gehe hin” from G.P. Telemann’s “Jauchze, jubiliere, und singe”, Samuel Barber’s “Agnus Dei”, three choruses from Irving Fine’s “The Hour-Glass”, Leonard Bernstein’s choruses from “The Lark”, and Eric Whitacre’s “Water Night”.
This July, Oriana will present the same program of German and American choral music in Frankfurt and Leipzig.
