The free concert will take place in Brookline Music School’s Bakalar Recital Hall on Sunday, November 10 at 4pm.
The program features songs by English composers Rebecca Clarke, Benjamin Britten and Kurt Weill.
'Tell Me the Truth About Love: Songs of Passion & Betrayal' is the second concert in the Brookline Music School’s 2013-2014 Faculty Artist Series.
This year’s Faculty Artist Series features a colorful spectrum of music, including solo and chamber performances, art songs and music of Hungary and France.
The series will continue with Sunday concerts at 4:00pm with Salon Montparnasse: A Panoply of Parisian Delights, presented by BMS Faculty Pianist Gregory Tolwinski and friends on December 8; the Boston Harp Trio performing works by Debussy, Beethoven and Piazolla, along with newly commissioned work by BMS Faculty Amanda Ramano, harp with special guests on flute and viola on February 9; Music of Hungary with BMS Faculty Jessica Klett on violin and piano; Lisa Bosley, kontra; and Linda Ugelow, bass on March 16; and Journey Through Song - A Recital of Art Song & Vocal Chamber Music with BMS Faculty members Carola Emrich-Fisher, mezzo-soprano, Paul Jacobs, piano, Philip Rush, viola, Amy Poliakoff, flute and Bonnie Pomfret, soprano, plus special guests from Libella Quartet on May 11.

Lindsay Albert (piano) enjoys a busy teaching schedule at Brookline Music School where she teaches private piano lessons and serves as department coordinator for both the piano and accompaniment divisions.
An adjunct faculty member at Boston College, Lindsay coaches and accompanies the students of the music department; she also assists in the Opera Workshop Scenes production, now in its third year at Boston College.
Lindsay works as vocal coach at Boston Conservatory, where she works with students in the classical voice and opera department.
During the past year, Lindsay served as staff pianist for the staged production of Suor Angelica under the musical direction of Piergiorgio Del Nunzio during Oberlin Conservatory’s summer opera program in Arezzo, Italy, and has performed at local venues such as Gasson Hall of Boston College, Pickman Hall of Longy School of Music, the Taylor House of Jamaica Plain, and The Boston Conservatory.
Her most recent recital collaborations were with featured artists Megan Roth, mezzo-soprano, and Bradford Gleim, baritone.
Lindsay holds a B.A.
cum laude, Music and French from Boston College; M.
M.
Collaborative Piano from The Longy School of Music.
Heather Gallagher (mezzo-soprano) is a recipient of an Encouragement Award from the Licia-Albanese Puccini Foundation (2011), the 2nd Place Award for Metro West Opera's 2011 Opera Competition and a Two Year Fellowship from the Atlantic Music Festival in Waterville, Maine.
In addition to performance, Ms. Gallagher maintains an active teaching schedule.
She is a Resident Teaching Artist with Boston Lyric Opera and teaches out of a private voice studio in Jamaica Plain.
Heather is a graduate of New World School of the Arts and the University of Florida.
