Kids of all ages will get into the spirit of the season with Pancoast’s original holiday tunes, including “The House on Christmas Street,” currently being heard on Boston’s WODS, “Oldies 103.3.” Judy’s elves will be on-hand to sign kids up for “Christmas Karaoke,” and the whole family will enjoy singing along and dancing to holiday classics sprinkled throughout the show.
About Judy Pancoast
Pancoast, a resident of New Hampshire, began her USA concert and school tours in 1996. Since then she has produced four popular collections of her songs. Her innovative song writing won her the coveted Children’s Music Web “Best Song for Young Children” award three times…in 1999 for her song Swimming in Jello, again in 2000 for The Potty Dance and then again in 2004 for One Big Eyeball.
Her 1998 recording, Candy, won a Parent’s Choice Award. She released The Tune Room in September 2003, and received a best song of 2003 nod for I Love the Rain from KIOS – FM (Oregon public radio). All four of Judy’s CDs have been endorsed by the Coalition for Quality Children’s Media. Her music is heard regularly on XM Satellite Radio where she has been the host of two special programs.
For the past four years Pancoast has performed at the New York A-list fundraiser for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. Stars Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman, Whoopi Goldberg, Diane Sawyer and others joined hundreds of children who were entertained by her popular and interactive musical concert at the Kids for Kids Carnival.
Judy has also been a featured performer for at Robert DeNiro’s Tribeca Film Festival Family Street Fair for the past three years. Pancoast has twice traveled to Nairobi, Kenya, for a weeklong song writing workshops, where she and the children of the Nyumbani Orphanage wrote, performed and made studio recordings of original songs. The songs premiered in the U.S. at the annual Washington DC Nyumbani Benefit, which was hosted by “Hardball’s” Chris Matthews.
“Christmas and music go together like peanut butter and jelly,” says Pancoast, “and I love to bring the festive sounds of the season to kids of all ages. No one will leave the Regent feeling like a Humbug!”
