Award-winning conductor Channing Yu and the Festival Orchestra members will perform folk, dance, and popular music from England, Ireland, Uruguay, Mexico, and the United States in their final concert of the year.
Admission is free.
The Powers Festival Orchestra is a group of dedicated adult musicians from the community who come together each week to share their love of music.
Channing Yu, Music Director of the Mercury Orchestra and Bay Colony Brass, leads the adult orchestra each week in learning baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary, and popular works in an intensive workshop environment.
Interested in joining the Festival Orchestra for the 2014-2015 academic year?
The ensemble rehearses Sunday evenings at Powers Music School, and new members on all orchestral instruments are welcome.
