“Serenades and Sonnets” is on Saturday, October 18 at 7:00pm in Pickman Concert Hall at Longy School of Music/Bard College, Cambridge, Mass.
In addition to works by Rossini, Verdi, Vaughan Williams, Schubert, Bellini, and more, the program features music inspired by Shakespeare to celebrate the Bard's 450th anniversary.
The five artists of NAVA all make their homes in Massachusetts: soprano Nouné Karapetian, mezzo-soprano Olga Bykhovsky, tenor Michael Calmès, baritone Philip Lima, and pianist William Merrill.
This musical partnership is the brainchild of Merrill, who has concertized with eminent singers from Boston to Beijing.
Tickets are $25, seniors and students $20, available online at www.nava.brownpapertickets.com and at the door an hour prior to the concert.
Longy is at 27 Garden Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, convenient to the Harvard Square MBTA, local buses, and parking garages.
