The Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras performance of the 'New World' Symphony marks the debut of a unique presentation, which features text from the 'Song of Hiawatha,' and a visual presentation (conceived by author and educator, Joseph Horowitz along with video artist Peter Bogdanoff) with paintings by such 19th century Americans as Frederic Church, Frederick Remington, and Albert Bierstadt.
This BYSO performance, along with the visual presentation, will be preceded by a lecture/demonstration by conductor Federico Cortese, highlighting the symphony's narrative dimension.
