Darkness and Light: An Afternoon of Solo Piano Sunday, March 15, 2015, 4:00pm Bakalar Recital Hall at Brookline Music School, Free
Brookline Music School’s 2014-2015 Faculty Artist Series presents Darkness and Light: An Afternoon of Solo Piano with faculty Valerie Ross.
This program will feature German and French piano music, organized around the theme of light and dark in music.
Repertoire includes works ranging from Schubert’s sparse, emotionally dark writing to Debussy and Messaien’s impressions of light, color, and mists.
Darkness and Light: An Afternoon of Solo Piano is the fourth concert in the Brookline Music School’s 2014-2015 Faculty Artist Series.
The series will conclude with a Sunday concert at 4:00pm on April 12 with Mythos: Mythology in Music for Flute and Piano with faculty Elizabeth Chladil, piano and guest artist Weronika Balewski, flute.
