Performances by Music and Baseball Stars (Including Bronson Arroyo, Jake Peavy, Bernie Williams and More) Support Theo and Paul Epstein’s Foundation To Be Named Later; Emceed by Mad Men’s Joel Murray

Chicago Cubs’ president of baseball operations Theo Epstein and Hall of Fame baseball journalist Peter Gammons, bring music and baseball heavy hitters together to benefit the Foundation To Be Named Later (FTBNL).

Presented by Ipswitch, the concert features a wide variety of notable musicians and MLB stars including Bronson Arroyo (member of the 2004 Boston Red Sox World Championship team), Jake Peavy (member of the 2013 Boston Red Sox World Championship team), Latin Grammy Nominated jazz musician Bernie Williams (former New York Yankee), Tiffany Ortiz (wife of David Ortiz) and more.

Mad Men actor Joel Murray and former Boston Red Sox first baseman Sean Casey will emcee.

Additional performers include Peter Gammons, Boston’s Hot Stove All Stars (including Epstein, Will Dailey, Red Sox organist Josh Kantor, and a collection of Boston musicians) and Chicago’s Hot Stove All Stars: featuring Cubs broadcaster Len Kasper, Cheap Trick’s Daxx Neilsen and Chicago-based rockers Scott Lucas (Local H) and Freda Love Smith (Blake Babies).

A VIP Party before the show will feature Harpoon Beer and food from acclaimed restaurants LOCO, BOKX 109, CHOPPS, The Fireplace and Pastoral.

WHY: Foundation To Be Named Later raises funds and awareness for non-profit agencies, working on the front lines, serving disadvantaged youth in Greater Boston and Chicago and giving direct grants to highly under-resourced college students through its Peter Gammons College Scholarship program.

FTBNL concentrates on programs that teach leadership, education and healthy development of families.

ABOUT HOT STOVE COOL MUSIC
Hot Stove Cool Music is a benefit concert and musical variety show held in Boston during the winter and in Chicago during the summer.

The event was created in December of 2000 by Hall of Fame Baseball journalist Peter Gammons and former Boston Herald sports writer Jeff Horrigan.

Over the previous 15 years, Hot Stove Cool Music has become a staple on Boston’s entertainment calendar and has raised more than $8 million for Theo and Paul Epstein’s Foundation To Be Named Later.

DIRECTIONS
From the West:
Take the Mass Pike to the Allston/Cambridge Exit. Bear left to Allston onto Cambridge Street At the fourth set of lights take a left onto Harvard Ave. At the next set of lights take a left onto Brighton Ave. which becomes Commonwealth Ave. The Paradise will be 1/2 mile on the left.

From the South:
Take 93 N to the Mass Ave exit. At the intersection, at bottom of ramp take a right. After 1 mile take a left onto Beacon St. to Kenmore Sq., stay to the right. This will be Commonwealth Ave. The Paradise will be 1 mile on the right.

From the North:
Take 93 S to Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit. Take a right onto Beacon St to Kenmore Sq. stay to the right – you will end up on Commonwealth Ave. The Paradise will be 1 mile on the right.

TAKING THE MBTA T:

Take the Green Line (B LINE) to The Pleasant Street stop.

  • Parking and Transportation:

  • Metered parking is available along Commonwealth Ave on a first come first served basis. The Pleasant Street stop on the MBTA “B” line (Boston College) is right across the street from the club.

  • Persons with Disabilities:

  • Hearing disability – if you need an assistive listening device, please contact the box office at 617-562-8801 at least 2 days in advance and bring a credit card for deposit while the device is being used.

  • Mobility disability – we have an area stage left set up for an unobstructed view. (Please call us for details.) We have an accessible bathroom just inside the front doors.

  • Age Policy:

  • All shows at the Paradise are 18+ unless otherwise noted. Patrons MUST present an official government document, State I.D, Birth Certificate, or Passport to enter the club. College IDs only accepted with birth certificate or non-liquor State ID or military ID.
