Boston philanthropist and Chairman of The Stride Rite Foundation Arnold Hiatt will be sponsoring the Boston Classical Orchestra’s Second Annual Anne W. Hiatt Youth & Family Concert on Saturday, May 5th at 2 pm at Faneuil Hall. The concert--”Nature, the Spirit, & Music”--will feature the full Boston Classical Orchestra (conducted by Steven Lipsitt), the Boston Children’s Chorus, a student string ensemble from the Boston Arts Academy, and an instrument “petting” zoo. This concert is free to the public.
This is a unique opportunity for Boston families to introduce their children to classical music by Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn. They will have a chance to experience a live concert performed by Boston’s best musicians as well as see/hear their peers in the Boston Children’s Chorus perform African American and Native American songs. A student ensemble from the Boston Arts Academy will also be featured. After the concert, the audience will have a chance to meet the musicians and examine/try out instruments (kindly provided by Rayburn Music).
Call (617) 423-3883 to reserve tickets.
