Country music fans are in for a rare treat when Cash is King brings back the musical explosion that was Johnny Cash.
Cash was a classic with a songbook of hits that resonate with the hooks and lyrics that were pure Cash -- Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk The Line, Ring Of Fire, and many more.
Nobody lived life like Johnny Cash, and Cash is King plays it like it was.
On Saturday, March 5th, at 8 p.m. at The Regent Theatre Johnny Cash, his full band and June Carter can be experienced thanks to the ultimate tribute show Cash is King!
Johnny Cash is portrayed by the spot-on Brian Chicoine who will amaze as he sings, plays and tells the story of Johnny Cash's life.
His voice bears an uncanny similarity to that of the legendary singer -- the closest thing to the original that can possibly be.
With period costumes, cover versions of Cash classics and between-song banter, this event captures the essential Johnny Cash.
Vicky St.
Pierre plays June Carter to perfection.
The Tennessee Three are in their prime, during the Sun Records and '60s prison concerts era.
With an ever-growing interest in the music of Johnny Cash since the release of the biopic Walk the Line, people who never had the chance to see Cash live now have the opportunity to relive the magic that was...at The Regent Theatre.
The Tennessee Three are played by Scott Tyler on lead guitar as Luther Perkins, who captures the groundbreaking Telecaster guitar style that defined the Cash sound.
Portraying bassist Marshall Grant is Junior Cain who lays down the unmistakable low end of the Upright Doghouse Bass that was a staple of the Sun Records sound.
Rounding out the combo on drums is Gary Tokarz as W.S.
Holland, who brings it all together with beats that kept the boys steady as a train going down the track.
Last but far from least is the June Carter portrayal by Vicky St.
Pierre, who performs the classic duets complete with the sass and style of Johnny's wife!
