“Our Honors Chamber Concert features NMYO’s top student musicians who are chosen because they demonstrate a high level of skill and musicianship,” says Trudy Larson, NMYO’s String and Chamber Music Director.
This special concert will include music from some of the great masters of the chamber music genre in addition to more contemporary composers.
Join NMYO staff, students, parents, and alumni for unforgettable surprise events and a dessert reception in honor of NMYO’s 25th anniversary!
Immediately following the concert, all audience members are invited to remain at the Shalin Liu to commemorate the organization’s 25 years of providing artistic enrichment and exceptional opportunities for community engagement to local children.
The reception will also celebrate founder Trudy Larson’s 25 years of service and Music Director Gerald Dolan’s 20 years of artistic direction.
All NMYO concerts are family-friendly, and are a great way to expose children to orchestral music in a comfortable setting while supporting the musical training of the area’s finest young musicians.
The NMYO Honors Chamber Music Concert is free to the public and is sponsored in part by The Fuller Foundation, Market Basket, Nathaniel & Elizabeth P.
Stevens Foundation, Richard D.
Wilson Community Gift Fund, and the Essex, Gloucester, and Rockport Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
