In 2010, a group of friends dedicated to bringing classical music to the community decided to revive the organization and make it an integral part of the Brookline community and beyond.
We seek to present concerts of the highest quality.
Our orchestra members are talented musicians -- amateur, student, and professional -- who volunteer their time to create an organization of which Brookline can be proud.
We are actively working to ensure that the Brookline Symphony Orchestra becomes a vital part of Brookline's cultural life -- a community orchestra in the truest sense of the word.
In addition to our traditional concerts each season, we plan a number of free outreach events annually, including free full orchestra concerts at schools, nursing homes, and hospitals.
The Brookline Symphony Orchestra performs their spring concert on May 15th at 3pm.
The Elgar Cello Concerto in E minor and Copland's Symphony #3.
The concert is also in collaboration with Music for Food, helping provide food for Massachusetts residents in need.
