In its name and concept, Port Sounds describes the active exchange of ideas, sounds, and art that is ever-present at the Gallery, as well as its location in the neighborhood of Cambridgeport.
Gallery 263’s second Port Sounds festival adds comedians to the cast of emerging bands and independent artists that have found a creative home in our space.
This year’s festival is headlined by the Boston Music Awards Best Female Vocalist and Best Pop Artist, Ruby Rose Fox who will perform a powerful soul-stirring set with her dynamic back-up singers, The Steinems.
Additional performances will be from singer-songwriter Maggie Whitlock, whose music bears a mature assuredness and depth, and from acoustic trio The By & By, who forge fresh territory for the American String Band sound with creative arrangements that draw from Gospel, Blues, and Jazz.
Nick Ortolani hosts a showcase of local comedians and storytellers including Pamela Ross, Mike Lemme, Wes Hazard, and Chris Post.
