There will be two opportunities to meet the musicians.
One at Harvard University (1730 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA 02138), at 06 PM, on 6th October, and another one in a Master Class at Berklee (1140 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02215 USA), at 1 PM, on 7th October.
The event takes us on a journey into Samba’s past—through the music of iconic composers such as Noel Rosa, Cartola, Nelson Cavaquinho, Ismael Silva, Ataulfo Alves, Assis Valente, Dorival Caymmi, Baden Powell and Paulinho da Viola—with the voices of singers Marcos Sacramento and Beth Marques as our guides.
The main band will include Zé Paulo on guitar, Tiago Souza on mandolin and cavaquinho, Joaquim Albuquerque de Oliveira handling percussion, and Humberto Araújo on flute and saxophone.
