The performers will be rotating throughout the night, each giving you a different experience and drawing from different cultural backgrounds.
In this fusion of work, you will find elements from Brazilian, jazz, funk, rock, modern classical music, and more.
Altogether the night will be one big multicultural experience!
Pedro Vituri, who brought together all of the artists, originally studied at the Conservatorio Souza Lima in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
After working as a translator and musician for a music convention he was awarded a scholarship to his dream school, Berklee, and transferred his degree.
Tyler Burchfield, on sax and clarinet, is a Florida-native who studied at the University of Miami and earned his degree in jazz performance.
After graduation he transferred to the New England Conservatory for his master’s degree.
Simon Willson was born in Chile and came to Boston to study at the New England Conservatory.
He will be performing on bass.
Brandi Maxam studied jazz education.
Her instrument of choice is vocals.
She has joined multiple bands, including various jazz duos and the Ward Eights.
On drums will be Peter Manheim, who has lived around the world in places including China and Brazil and studied at Oberlin.
He has moved around in order to study these cultures’ music and study with great drummers such as Nene.
