After winning this award, the Quartet completed an eight-concert tour in the Midwest and performed several times at the Emilia Romagna Festival in Italy.
The San Diego Union Tribune praises the group for “[playing] with sense of discovery and adventure, but also with considerable finesse.”
Currently the resident ensemble of the New England Conservatory’s Professional Quartet Training Program, Omer Quartet is coached by Paul Katz.
The NEC’s program has shaped the artistic development of other eminent young quartets such as the Jupiter, Parker, Ariel, and Harlem Quartets.
