His musical endeavors began where he grew up, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and continued when he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music in 1979, with saxophone as his principal instrument.
He was part of El Eco and Caribbean Express, two Latin jazz groups that performed extensively in the Boston area and beyond.
