This year, 2017, marks the 12th anniversary of Boston GuitarFest, with the theme “Feria Latina,” celebrating the Latin-American influence on the classical guitar.
Artistic director and virtuoso classical guitarist , with festival cosponsors , and bring back the Boston-based festival for music lovers of all ages and backgrounds.
For the 12th annual festival, renowned , students, teachers, and guitar enthusiasts will come to Boston from all over the globe to hear world-class performances and share their appreciation of the classical guitar and its place in the musical landscape.
The festival is dedicated to the memory of Venezuelan guitar legend Alirio Diaz.
Concert calendar:
Uruguayan guitar master Eduardo Fernandez presents music of the Rio de la Palata region (Argentina and Uruguay), and Cuban virtuoso Rene Izquierdo plays music inspired by the folk tradition of Cuba.
Boston GuitarFest XII celebrates the theme 'Feria Latina' with a concert series featuring virtuosos from South America and beyond.
