Kindermusik for the Young Child is a unique music preparation program for 5-6 year olds (Kindergarten and 1st graders) that introduces children to the basics of music theory through games, songs from around the world and a variety of music instruments.
The program is designed as a two year curriculum.
At the end of the two years, students will have learned how to play the glockenspiel, dulcimer and recorder.
Children will also be introduced to the instruments of the orchestra as well as classical music pieces like Peter and the Wolf and The Magic Flute.
This class is perfect for children who are preparing for private music lessons.
Bernadette will be teaching the first year of the curriculum (30 classes) at the United Methodist Church in Lexington.
Classes will be held 1:15pm-2:15pm on Thursdays starting September 14, 2017.
Licensed Kindermusik Educator Bernadette Baird teaches throughout Middlesex County and is excited to bring this program to Lexington.
Bernadette has enjoyed working with children and families as a music and movement educator for the past 13 years.
