Sharon Concert Band will tell the story of Christmas through a performance of familiar carols in nontraditional arrangements, including Mannheim Steamroller versions of “Veni, Veni (O Come, O Come Emmanuel)”, “O' Little Town of Bethlehem”, “Away In A Manger”, “The First Noel” and “Cantique De Noel (O Holy Night)”.

The band will also perform an arrangement of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” titled “Rest” by Samuel R. Hazo and the gospel inspired piece “Go Tell It On The Mountain” by Jay Dawson.

The second half of the program will feature contemporary favorites, including “Wonderful Christmastime” by Paul McCartney, “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” by John Lennon and Yoko Ono and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey.

The concert will also include a performance of Mele Kalikimaka”, “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” featuring solo alto saxophone.

A complimentary reception with refreshments will be held during intermission.
