—featuring Irina Muresanu, Soloist
This Valentine's Day, fall in love with HeartStrings, Lexington Symphony's concert of love stories set to music.
From Bernstein’s violin concerto, inspired by five of the seven descriptions of love in Plato’s Symposium, to Bartok's Divertimento for string orchestra, these stirring pieces will bring warmth and romance to mid-winter.
This concert will be lead by a special guest conductor, the acclaimed Federico Cortese, Music Director of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, and feature soloist Irina Muresanu.
Says Music Director Jonathan McPhee: “Federico is a very well respected conductor and I know our audience will enjoy his passionate and exciting music making.” This February, escape from the cold and celebrate a romantic evening at the symphony with HeartStrings.
