NY's Slambovian Circus of Dreams bring psychedelic roots-rock to Maine, Friday, July 27th at the historic Vinegar Hill Music Theatre.
Named ’Best Band’ by Hudson Valley Magazine, the Slambovians pioneered the now massive Americana genre from their enclave in the Hudson Highlands while staying on the fringes of the music industry, establishing a Slambovian Nation of fans here and abroad.
The wry wit and philosophy of lead singer Joziah Longo is front and center with music that straddles the very best of 20th century rock.
Elements of Dylan, Bowie, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Incredible String Band, Waterboys, and the Decemberists are all part of the musical mix.
Much-anticipated, “A Very Unusual Head”, the band’s 6th studio album is due out later this year through Sony Red.
Friday nights show will feature the band’s deep catalog with a preview of songs from the new album.
