'Rule No. 1: Always Take the Scenic Route'
We are now living in an instant age.
So many things can happen so quickly that we forget that life is as much about the journey as it is about the destination.
This program demonstrates the many ways composers use music and the voice of the orchestra to remind us that in addition to things we want to achieve, there are also many things we need to observe and behold.
RIMSKY-KORSAKOV Procession of the Nobles, from Mlada GROFÉ Sunrise, from Grand Canyon Suite BRITTEN Four Sea Interludes: Storm, from Peter Grimes ROSSINI Overture to William Tell ELGAR Nimrod, from the Enigma Variations David DZUBAY Ra!
