This event began 33 years ago, with two founding directors, Karen Leonard, and Ed Henderson, continuing to be involved in planning and participation.
Formerly known as the Merrimack Valley Handbell Festival, this event brings together handbell enthusiasts to ring some delightful pieces that have been prepared in advance.
There will be two pieces that everyone will ring together, one piece that a small group known as the Tins division will ring, and one piece that the Coppers division participants will ring.
There will also be a few solo selections that have been prepared by some of the participating choirs.
The day’s activities will culminate in a 3 PM concert that is free and open to the public, followed by some light refreshments provided by the ringers.
Join the handbell choir from St.Matthew’s United Methodist Church, Acton, at Tewksbury Memorial High School, 320 Pleasant Street, Tewksbury, MA on Saturday, April 6, at 3:00 PM for the Massachusetts Spring Ring.
