The Chorale's 'festival' program rejoices in the musical diversity and beauty created by composers who for centuries have been inspired by Psalms.
Hear Latin psalms by Vivaldi and Porpora, accompanied by a string orchestra.
Experience the mystical pieces by Arvo Pärt, sung in Church Slavonic.
Become seduced by the sumptuous music of Bruckner and Brahms (in German), and Renaissance music by Salamone Rossi, as well as 20th century compositions by Simon Sargon and Louis Lewandowski – all sung in Hebrew.
Of course, there will be lots of singing in English, too, including 'Durham Jazz Psalms' by Will Todd.
The Heritage Chorale, conducted by renowned Boston-area music director John Finney, is a nonprofit organization of accomplished singers dedicated to performing high quality choral music.
We are committed to standards of excellence in our rehearsals and performances, and seek to inspire in ourselves and our Metrowest audience a greater love of music and community.
