With imaginative stories and sounds, musicians from Promised Land will lead your children through the fascinating patchwork of traditions that make up our unique American musical culture.
And don’t miss a hands-on Scavenger Hunt following the performance, where you can try out fascinating old instruments you may never have seen before!

Part One: 2pm-3pm
Promised Land presents A musical history of the American melting pot Join Dan Meyers, Jay Rosenberg, and Chris Rua of Promised Land in an interactive journey though five centuries of American music.
Your guides will share a multitude of immigrant stories and sounds, delving into the patchwork of traditions that make up American musical culture, with music from Europe and Middle East alongside Native American sounds.
Part Two: 3pm-4pm
Scavenger Hunt at the World-Famous BEMF Exhibition Discover old and unusual instruments and meet the men and women who make them – with special prizes and treats for all.
